Our latest update makes it easy to tell when you're recording: a red border highlights the part of the screen currently being captured.
Editors use the SelfGuide Recorder every day to record steps for instructions. Until now, it wasn’t always clear when a recording had actually started. Sometimes an editor walked away from their computer while the Recorder was still running. When they returned and continued their normal work, the Recorder kept capturing those actions. Which of course was not what they wanted.
To prevent this, we’ve added a red border around the screen. This red border is shown as long as the recording is active, so editors always know when the Recorder is running and what screen is being recorded.
This improvement is available in the newest version of the SelfGuide Recorder. You can download it here: https://www.selfguide.com/downloads/recorder. If you're still using an older version, the Recorder will let you know. Older versions still work for now, but you'll need to update in the future.

The LMS integration now supports JWKS URLs to fetch the public key directly from the LMS.
