Revamped feedback overview

The time has come: the feedback overview has been revamped to match the look and feel of the rest of the product. This update completes a long-standing roadmap item, making SelfGuide’s overall design more intuitive and consistent.

Revamped feedback overview

The feedback overview was the last window which needed attention to bring consistency in the look & feel of the product. What has been changed:

  • The well known list view has been brought to the feedback overview window
  • Columns are resizeable and sortable
  • Columns options are available to hide / show columns and reorder columns
  • The instruction title is clickable to directly open the instruction
  • Feedback closure as also reading the reply message is available through a context menu

Share from the library

In a recent release, the sharing functionality has been updated. Starting from this release, the new share functionality is accessible directly from the library.

TOPdesk KB as advanced share option

Synchronization to the TOPdesk knowledge base is a kind of sharing as the instruction is made accessible from outside the instruction library. To bring this feature in line with other sharing options, the TOPdesk synchronization configuration has been moved to the advanced sharing section in the share modal. The behavior of this synchornization is not adjusted.

Ownership modal

The quick check modal has been renamed to Ownership and managing the owner of an instruction has been moved to this modal. With this change, all ownership functionality is available in one place.

Embed full screen (preview)

The embed viewer now has a full screen option to enlarge the viewer and make the instruction more readable.

LMS integration add-on

A Learning Management System (LMS) is used by organizations to organize, share, and manage learning content. The purpose varies by organization, ranging from informal learning to formal training and certification required for specific roles. SelfGuide and an LMS complement each other: SelfGuide holds a wealth of knowledge, while the LMS serves as the entry point for structured learning journeys.

An add-on is available to integrate SelfGuide with LMS platforms based on the LTI 1.3 industry standard. The add-on implements:

  • LTI launch process to start learning from the LMS
  • LTI advanced grading service to communicate course progress to the LMS on completion
  • LTI grading updates on course reset and course start
  • Multi tenancy support to use several LMS platforms with one SelfGuide tenant

Minor improvements

  • At the request of TOPdesk, a header is added to all request to the their API
  • The continue button in a course now opens the first not completed module
